At Shefaa Center our primary goal is to provide effective, humane care for those who suffer from chronic pain. Our goal is torelieve the pain while  increasing quality of life. We also provide patients with the skills to manage chronic pain, giving them greater functionality so returning to work and other activities may be possible.

Recognizing the multiple facets of the patient with chronic pain must be recognized to accomplish these goals. At Shefaa Center, we partner with each patient and focus on the diagnosis and management of chronic pain.

What is interdisciplinary approach?​

One approach focuses on procedures to deal with specific types of pain related to a particular region of the body, such as neck and back pain.

​

The other is sometimes called an interdisciplinary approach. This method observes at the whole person, not just the pain. We often use an interdisciplinary approach to encourage patients to take an active role in managing their pain and regaining control of their lives.

​

Not every patient referred to Shefaa Center is in need of interdisciplinary diagnosis or treatment, but the Center offers those resources when they are appropriate.

​

At the Shefaa Center, your therapy plan will be tailored to your specific needs, circumstances, and preferences. While many people like the personal touch of their local medical doctor, the Shafaa Center offers many therapies that are simply not available to an individual physician.

​At Shefaa Center the focus is on the entire patient, not just the chronic pain.  We offer patients the opportunity to see many types of practitioners and we can coordinate care into one cohesive treatment plan under the same roof.  This provides many advantages for patients and their families.
